Yahoo! in tie-up with Idea and MTNL

Yahoo! announced tie-ups with two Indian mobile operators Idea and MTNL, for mobile advertising and Yahoo! oneSearch respectively.

Among a series of new partnerships announced for the APAC region, five are for Yahoo! oneSearch (with MTNL, Hong Kong CSL Limited (CSL), Smart Communications, Philippines, Digital Mobile Phlis, Philippines and Vibo Telecom Inc, Taiwan). Yahoo! oneSearch would now be the preferred search service on these carriers’ mobile sites. In India, other than MTNL, they have other tie-up’s also, with Idea, RComm, BSNL, Aircel and BPL Mobile.

It has entered into partnerships for mobile advertising with India’s Idea Cellular and Maxis Communications, Malaysia.

They also launched;

Local versions of Yahoo! Go 3.0 for India, Australia and Southeast Asia
New mobile widgets for the APAC region, such as Yahoo! Cricket, Yahoo! Answers, Yahoo! India Movies and an MTV Asia mobile widget
