WonderHowTo is a site search engine and directory for Free How-To Videos. As of Mar-08, they had an index of over 100,000 videos.
There are numerous such “guides” available, but this one scores over them simply due to one factor: video. Knowing fully well that what you see is what you remember, the site has focussed on getting good, free videos that help with a diverse variety of topics.
They claim to be website and platform agnostic: meaning, they embrace all content providers whose videos display a bona fide intent to instruct. They provide content from more than 500 sites spanning 36 vertical categories and 403 sub-categories.
A pleasant change from YouTube, though some of the videos here are too dumbed down !
