Where does your money go ?

Fun
Nope, this post is not about tracking your personal finances or to analyze how you spend your money. Rather, this is about literally tracking physical currency notes and their journey across the world !!
A friend recently sent me a link to a site called TrackGandhi, which lets you see where actual currency notes, once in your possession, are now located.
The About Us section on the site has this to say (albeit with some typos-corrected here);
TrackGandhi represents an international group of volunteers who want to collect information about the spread and the use of the Indian rupee. This site is inspired by other currency tracking sites, in particular by the WheresGeorge site tracking US dollars. Similar sites exist for multiple other currencies, but not for the Indian Rupee, the currency of the country with the 2nd biggest population in the world.
They have some points based system as well, though it wasn’t quite clear what you can redeem those points for. This is a free site, though you need to register and then enter details about the currency notes in your possession (serial number and provenance-how and where you obtained it).
The concept is no doubt pretty interesting, and there could be several ways to use the information collected by them. The site is replete with spelling and grammatical errors though, which they would do well to correct. It seems quite strange, considering the site is around 9 months old.
