The weekend gone by was a bleak one.. in more ways than one…

First, the rains decided to come calling with a vengeance, all through Saturday and most of Sunday, so was mostly at home, buoyed by a yummy breakfast and lunch.

Then, Formula 1 seemed to offer no relief either, with the McLarens dominating the qualifying. In an interesting twist however, the stewards decided to penalise Alonso by pushing him down the grid and docking McLaren all their points from the Hungarian Grand Prix. Of course, for the record, Hamilton won and Kimi was second.

But the worst thing to happen was that my Apple iPod Video 80GB, which was connected to my comp and seemed fully charged when I disconnected it, then simply REFUSED to come on !! All I got was the Apple logo, and then on the dark screen, I could vaguely read a warning that said, “Battery very low”, along with a continuously circulating status “circle”.

I don’t think the battery would’ve died so soon, considering it’s less than 6 months old. Resetting the iPod also doesn’t seem to work. From what I’ve seen on the net, a wall charger seems to be the solution as sometimes a USB port does not power it adequately enough.

So I guess I now have to buy one and pray the iPod comes back to life. :-(
