Consumers who pay their electricity bills within seven days from the date of issue of the bill will now get a discount of one per cent as per a directive from the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC).

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is set to try and save Pune from power cuts and load shedding.
After a long time, Pune now gears up to face the brunt of power cuts and load shedding. The past week has already seen this happening with power cuts of 3-4 hrs at a time.
