Apple’s Steve Jobs is CEO of the decade

In a tribute to his legendary charisma and for giving us some of the most innovative products of our times, Fortune Magazine has named Apple bossman Steve Jobs as CEO of the Decade, saying that his success in reordering four industries – computers, music, movies and mobile phones -was “unheard of.”

Airtel, Vodafone to launch iPhone on Aug 22

Apple’s iPhone, the must-have gizmo on people’s minds, will be finally available to Indian users from August 22, jointly from Vodafone and Bharti Airtel. As of now, there was no word from either operator about pricing plans, but I guess it will be in the range of Rs.30-40K. Will be great if it is cheaper, though.

Pre-register your iPhone with Vodafone

 I went on the Vodafone site to pay my bill online, and was greeted with this lovely banner. More curious than anything else, I clicked on Pre-register now. All I got was a small form asking for my details followed by ’Submit’. Nothing about when Vodafone was going to launch the iPhone.

Vodafone to roll out Apple iPhone in India

Indians can finally get their hands on a legal, non-grey market Apple iPhone. Come Diwali time, the iPhone is scheduled to be rolled out from Vodafone, who have acquired the rights to sell the iPhone in India. Incidentally, Vodafone also plan to launch it in Australia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa and Turkey.
