Sri Lanka pin down Kiwis

Sri Lanka reached the World Cup final, beating New Zealand by 81 runs.
Skipper Mahela Jayawardene came good when it mattered, as the Lankans made 289 for 5 in spite of losing Jayasuriya in the third over, and then shot out the Kiwis for 208 in 42 overs. The Kiwis have been losing semi-finalists for five times now. Murali also did a star turn, with his haul of 4-31.
New Zealand seemed to be suffering the hangover of their defeat to Australia, even though Fleming insisted it was no big deal at the time. Personally, I really thought the Kiwis finally had it in them to go all the way, but that was not to be.
The second semi-final between Australia and South Africa will be a treat to watch next.
