Sony Ericsson unveils 8.1 megapixel phone
Say hello to an 8.1 MP mobile phone from Sony Ericsson, the C905.
A nice looking phone, the C905 has an 8.1 MP camera with Xenon flash, face detection technology, auto-focus, smart contrast, and image stabilizer. It has a 2.4 inch scratch-resistant mineral glass display measuring 240 X 320 pixels. It is also the company’s first CyberShot slider phone. There is no optical zoom, however.
It comes with 160 MB phone memory as well as a bundled 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2). The dimensions are 104 X 49 X 18 mm, and it tips the scales at 136 grams, which is not all that light.
It is also possible to send photos wirelessly to your TV thru Wi-Fi or by using the recently introduced TV-Out Cable ITC-60. It will be available in three colors-Night Black, Ice Silver, and Copper Gold. The battery is a 930 mAh Li-Po, with upto 9 hours of talk time and upto 380 hours of standby time.
It has FM radio and plays MP3, AAC, MP4 formats. It offers support for GPRS, EDGE, UMTS 2100, HSDPA. There is no word on pricing yet, and the phone will be available sometime in Q408.
