Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd. has launched a website, http://www.six-steps.in/, to provide free advice on retirement planning and promote financial literacy. The website will also work as a guide book, with financial experts providing professional advice.
This came about as a result of a survey that a significant number of Indians had started looking to the Internet to resolve their queries on personal finance and retirement planning. The survey also highlighted that 57% of pre-retired Indians think that they will have to work beyond their normal retirement date to fund their retirement, as compared to 40% in 2004.
The survey conducted samples from metros – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore each year.
