Yup, Scrabulous is back— four months after being taken off Facebook, it is now back as Lexulous, and the best part is that all previous unfinished games and points have been retained.

Scrabulous was removed from Facebook after Hasbro, who held the rights to the word game Scrabble, filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the founders — brother duo Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla — and their company RJ Softwares. In the interim, the Agarwallas launched a modified version called Wordscraper, with some minor tweaks to the design and scoring system, but users didn’t really find it an apt substitute to Scrabulous.

Hasbro finally withdrew the lawsuit on December 12, paving the way for this popular game to return, albeit in a new avatar.

Update: There is also some news about Lexulous mobile though no clear information about when it will be made available. You can also try the Lexulous email version.
