A student at IIM Ahmedabad has bagged a record offer of Rs.1.44 crore per annum during final placements for it’s MBA program. The highest domestic acceptance was in the range of Rs 50-70 lakh per annum.

The financial sector managed to lure a hefty chunk, with 113 out of 255 students opting for jobs with companies like Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan, Merill Lynch, to name a few.

The average domestic salary offered this year was Rs.17.85 lakh, a 30% hike over last year’s average of Rs.13.7 lakh, whereas the average international salary was Rs.48 lakh.
