The GIC (General Insurance Council), is planning to push forward a proposal that will allow people to pay mediclaim premiums in a single installment, thereby saving us the hassle of renewing it every year. This could probably be in blocks of three to five years, and will earn it a lot of goodwill as well from the public.

Recently, a couple of my friends forgot to renew their policy. Not only did they forego the benefits, but Murphy’s Law also struck, with both of them needing hospitalization just a few days after their policy expired.
