A website that lists where one can get free drinks across New York City each night !
Yup, that’s myopenbar.com, a site that’s been around since 2005, which has suddenly become quite popular now. According to the founders, Seva Granik and Jason Fried, more and more bars and restaurants are also itching for a piece of the action.
The site has close to 30,000 subscribers in New York, most of them in their 20s and 30s. The site also provides listings for Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami and Honolulu. They have 30 employees. The founders are not keen to talk about revenues, though they claim the site is profitable.
