After becoming so much a part of our everyday life, it seemed a foregone conclusion that Google would eventually move on to hardware as well, and what better than the ubiquitous mobile phone.

There is news that Google is designing a mobile phone, and that this is a personal project of one of the founders, Larry Page.

Isabel Aguilera, heading Google’s operations in Spain and Portugal confirmed that the company is keen on extending Internet use to emerging markets.
