Former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher is scheduled to visit Pune in December, according to the DNA.

Purpose: To inaugurate a world class driving institute at Indapur. This is a project initiated by Harshavardhan Patil, Minister for Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) in the Mahrashtra government, with the Western India Automobile Association (WIAA). This would coincide with the 90th foundation day celebrations of the WIAA.

This training institute is a Rs.5 crore project, to be spread over 20 acres of land. Not sure who hit upon this idea of getting Schumi to inaugurate it, though. Apparently, he’s agreed to come over, so let’s wait n watch.
