Maruti Udyog has launched it’s much awaited diesel variant of the Swift.

The price is going to be approx Rs.4.7 lacs for the LDI version and around Rs.5 lacs for the VDI version, which has ABS (Anti brake locking system). The diesel Swift comes with a 1.3 litre, five-step multi-injection, DOHC (double over head camshaft) engine.

The Swift will have three new colours, Arctic White, Ozone Blue and Iridium Blue. One of the reasons for not having a normal white color was that the company did not want it to be identified as a “taxi”. Most fleet operators prefer white cars which have a universal appeal among their customers, especially those from the corporate sector.
