Yup, this is a fact. All those who were dreading the prospect of going to the RTO and being hounded by agents / touts can now breathe easy.
Not only are you spared the agony of visiting the office, but also that of shelling out some extra moolah, thanks to the Maharashtra RTO, which now allows online registration for getting a learner’s licence.
It is somewhat similar to that for getting a passport, as in, you need to fill in a form giving your particulars, print it and carry photographs with you. The system will generate a date for appointment, and you need to visit the RTO with the form and documents. There is a site which lets you take the test online too – http://rtoindia.com/
Less painful than before, eh?
