The Workplace
Kiran Karnik has decided to step down from his role as president, Nasscom.
He has decided to do so after turning 60, in line with the IT industry’s informal arrangement of stepping down at that age and moving to an advisory role.
He had become President after the unexpected death of Nasscom flag bearer, Dewang Mehta, in 2001.
Korn Ferry, among the world’s leading executive search firms, has been given the task of finding a successor.
