Indian MPs want liquor served on flights
Three wise MPs, who are part of the consultative committee attached to the aviation ministry, are demanding for liquor to be served on domestic flights. Apparently, Kingfisher Airlines boss-man Vijay Mallya is also one of those keen to see this happen.
Oh Lord, what are we going to have next?
There are tales galore of MLAs and MPs misbehaving and being rude on flights and even trying to molest women in trains, and now this will really bring out the beast in them !!
India still has some way to go before such a policy can be implemented. For every sensible person who knows how to hold his/her drink, there are several more who can’t, and the risk is too high, especially on a flight. Secondly, you can’t even throw an errant passenger out 
The best part is the fact that all this is being done ostensibly to “help vineyard farmers”, which is a plea that our Minister for Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel has agreed to consider… as if allowing wine to be served on flights was the last hope for survival for all these “poor” fat-cat farmers !
