Ideacts Innovations, a company headquartered in Mumbai, has launched an advertising tool called ‘Clinck’, which seeks to monetise cyber cafes in India. Intrigued? Well, read on…
Clinck (now known as iCafeManager) is an Active Desktop Application which acts as a single point interface to popular applications like messengers, browsers and search engines, and will display ads on the desktop. Ideacts has entered into tie-ups with over 600 cyber cafes across the country. The cafe owners would be paid to install Clinck on all desktops and Ideacts would make money from ads, some of the advertisers being Naukri, MakeMyTrip, Dell, Radio Mirchi etc.
The service is live in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chandigarh.
The company was founded in March 2007 by three entrepreneurs from Pune; Rudrajeet Desai, Saurabh Khullar and Maninder Gill. They’ve received funding of $5 million from Sequoia Capital India. R.Ramaraj, Senior Advisor and Mohit Bhatnagar, Operating Partner, Sequoia Capital India are also on the Ideacts board.
