HTC Touch Diamond in India
Bharti Airtel has announced the availability of the HTC Touch Diamond on their network.
The phone itself is quite a slick looking thing, with a 3D touch interface called “TouchFLO 3D” that seeks to provide seamless access to contacts, messaging, email, photos and music.
Tipping the scales at around 110 grams, it’s dimensions are 102 X 51 X 11.33 mm. It runs on a Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528 MHz chipset, and has a 2.8-inch VGA touch screen, a 3.2 MP camera, 4GB internal storage, integrated GPS, and uses the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform.
It offers WCDMA/HSPA 900/2100MHz, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and HSUPA connectivity, 4 GB internal storage, 256MB flash and 192MB RAM. The battery is a 900 mAh Li-Ion, with 4 hours of talk time and from 100-300 hours standby time.
Another good thing is the availability of the latest version of the Opera mobile Web browser, Opera Mobile 9.5. It has improved tabbed browsing, and allows users to shift between portrait and landscape mode when the handset is turned sideways. Opera also facilitates easy sharing of images from online photo albums or any other Web site through MMS or email.
Some other features are, improved text wrap, call phone number directly from Web pages, history and bookmarks, and copy text. Also on offer is an inhouse YouTube application for viewing videos.
The probable cost of the HTC Touch Diamond from Airtel is likely to be in the region of Rs.27,000 – Rs.29,000.
