F1 fans are of course aware about Honda’s decision to pull out of Formula One…

Since then, there has been a lot of speculation that India’s Vijay Mallya and Mexican Carlos Slim were in the running to acquire the business. So has anyone actually bought the Honda F1 team yet? Just happened to look up some reports;

The Telegraph: Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, the world’s second richest man, has rescued the Honda Formula One team, Italian newspaper La Stampa has reported.

Economic Times: Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim has not bought the Honda Formula One team and is not even in negotiations for the Japanese outfit, a source at the businessman’s industrial and financial empire said on Sunday.

The Telegraph again: Honda Racing have denied that they are in talks with Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim regarding a potential takeover, with team principal Ross Brawn dismissing the rumours as “pure speculation”.

 As expected, the Honda site is silent on this issue, so wait n watch for now…
