Google has sought to throw in their lot with those making a case for increase in the annual H1-B visa cap, which presently stands at 65,000.


A post on their blog gives an example of Google founder, Sergey Brin, whose parents fled the Soviet Union when he was six. Google believes their immigrant and non-immigrant foreign workers have played a vital role in development of various new tools and products.
Laszlo Bock, Vice President – People Operations, who was raised in the United States after his mother fled Romania, testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration about the practical impact that the U.S. immigration system has on Google.
