Free real-time stock market quotes

The guys at Google are now working on making real-time stock market quotes freely available. So far, the sites that do this charge a bomb. Others require registration, and even then have a lag of around 15-20 minutes.
The only problem in this scenario is that it would be restricted to the US markets, with free real-time prices on Google Finance and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
I’m sure we can work out something on similar lines at reasonable prices if not free to start with.
