Facebook poaches Sheryl Sandberg from Google

Facebook got themselves a new COO, luring Sheryl Sandberg away from Google, where she was VP-Global Online Sales and Operations for the past six years. She also helped set up Google.org, the company’s philanthropic arm. Before joining Google, she served as the US Treasury Department’s chief of staff during the Clinton administration.
She will report directly to Facebook founder, 23 year old Mark Zuckerberg, and could also have a mentoring influence on him.
