ESPN has acquired Cricinfo, the online Bible of world cricket. Cricinfo was founded in 1993 and has more than 7 million monthly users. It was not immediately clear how much ESPN would be paying for this deal.
Cricinfo is the next best thing to watching live TV in terms of the ball-by-ball coverage and commentary it provides on all Test and ODI matches, not to mention statistics pertaining to every player who has represented his country, which is simply amazing.
A site like this would have been a boon to me when I was interested in such statistical data as a kid
