In spite of the ongoing battle between ICFAI and the CFA Institute, all the students enrolled for the CFA program will be eligible to appear for their exams in June ‘07.

The ICFAI has now taken the CFA Institute to court, alleging the Institute had no permission from the HRD ministry or the AICTE. The court has directed the AICTE to reply on this issue.

The CFA Institute believes they don’t need any permission as they don’t offer a degree or a diploma and neither do they run a University.

Hopefully, this is sorted out once and for all so there is clarity on the issue and students don’t go around wondering about the authenticity of their qualification.
