Within a day of receiving a legal notice from AICTE, the CFA Institute has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on this notice.

It has also offered $300 to each of the 7000 students who were to write the exam on 03rd June, which will help those candidates opting to take the exam outside India. This, however, will not cover their visa and accommodation expenses.

The desire to attain the CFA qualification has gathered pace among Asian countries over the past few years, with over 50,000 students from Asia expected to appear for the exam this year, as compared to around 45,000 from the US.
