A credit card comparator from ApnaLoan
ApnaLoan, one of the leading personal finance portals has launched an interesting service, called a Credit Card Comparator. This seeks to provide you, the end user, with information on 192 cards presently in the market, issued by a total of 28 banks.
It seems pretty interesting and easy to navigate, with separate sections for benefits (cashback, health, shopping, fuel, travel etc), affinity (business, doctor, women etc), type (gold, premier, silver), and network(Master, Visa, AMEX, Diners).
The feature list is quite exhaustive and you can play with it till you zero in on the kind of card you prefer, with various parameters like annual fees, interest rates, balance transfer rates, joining fees, add-on cards, late payment fees et al. There is also a tab to the right of the comparison list, which allows you to apply for any of those cards from their portal.
I had used their services to apply for a StanChart card some 7-8 years ago. They were new then and had some teething troubles, so I wasn’t entirely satisfied at the time with the level of service. However, that was pretty long ago and hopefully, things should’ve changed for the better since then.
