Amazon.com has introduced a new way of making online payments.

Coined “PayPhrase”, it is meant to be a shortcut for making purchases on the internet, and consumers have to use a unique phrase and a four digit PIN which links to their Amazon account. Effectively, when making purchases on Amazon.com or participating sites, they can enter their PayPhrase and PIN, see an order confirmation and check out in seconds, avoiding the need to fill in credit card details again.

PayPhrase can be used on Amazon.com and sites like DKNY.com, Jockey.com, and Buy.com that accept Checkout by Amazon, which allows merchants to use Amazon’s 1-Click checkout on their sites.
